Every workplace needs someone who can act in the first minutes of a medical emergency. This course certifies your own staff to teach first aid and CPR, so trained responders are always on hand without booking an outside instructor each time.

Your trainer learns CPR, AED use, and emergency first aid, along with how to plan, deliver, and assess a training session. The course is accredited under the IADC Drilling Industry Training scheme, so the certificate is recognised across the oil and gas industry. It suits emergency responders, HSE staff, and anyone being developed into a certified in house trainer.

What Is First Aid and CPR Train the Trainer

What Is First Aid and CPR Train the Trainer?

First aid and CPR train the trainer is a course that certifies an experienced person to teach life saving skills to others. It combines two things: solid first aid and CPR knowledge, and the practical teaching skills to pass it on, such as running a hands on session and assessing a learner’s ability.

A first aid and cpr course certificate from this programme means your trainer can deliver and assess that training inside your company whenever it is needed.

What You Will Learn

This train the trainer programme builds both subject knowledge and teaching ability:

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rescue breaths, done correctly
  • Using an AED safely during a cardiac emergency
  • Clearing a blocked airway and helping a choking casualty
  • Managing bleeding, shock, and common workplace injuries
  • Planning and running an engaging cpr and first aid training session
  • Assessing a learner’s knowledge and practical skill

Trained staff can act with confidence instead of freezing during a cardiac arrest, choking, or serious injury, which improves the chances of survival.
