Online and On Site Electrical Safety Training in Saudi Arabia

Electrical safety training in Saudi Arabia teaches your team to recognise electrical hazards, work safely around live and isolated
equipment, and follow the isolation and permit procedures Saudi employers expect.

Which Level of Electrical Safety Training Do You Actually Need?

There are two levels, and the difference between them is what a person is allowed
to do afterward, not just what they sat through.

Level

Who it is for

What it qualifies you to do

Awareness

Anyone who works near electrical equipment but does not open panels or carry out repairs, such as office staff, drivers, and general site workers

Recognise electrical hazards and stay clear of them. Does not permit any hands on electrical work

Qualified Person

Electricians, maintenance technicians, and anyone who works directly on or near live or de energised equipment

Carry out energised work planning, lockout and tagout, and arc flash risk assessment under a permit system

Electrical safety training general awareness is enough if your team works around electrical panels, machinery, or wiring without ever opening them. If anyone on your team isolates equipment, works on live systems, or carries out repairs, they need the qualified person course, and this kind of electrical hazard safety training alone will leave a real gap if it stops at awareness level.

Both levels draw from the same core modules, taught at a depth appropriate to the role. The qualified person course goes further into lockout and tagout and arc flash, with hands on practice added to the theory.

How current affects the body, why voltage alone does not determine danger, and the injuries most commonly seen on Saudi industrial sites

Working de energised as the default position, and what energised work planning looks like when de energising is not possible

Isolating energy sources correctly, applying locks and tags, and verifying zero energy before work begins

Recognising arc flash risk, understanding approach boundaries, and selecting the right protective equipment for the task

What to do if someone contacts live equipment, including safe rescue and first response before help arrives

Who is responsible for what on a Saudi site, and how that responsibility is documented

Delivery, Assessment, and What the Employer Receives

You can train at our centre, at your site, or through our online electrical safety training courses for the theory portion, with practical assessment completed in person for the qualified person level. This online electrical safety training suits companies with staff spread across different sites who need the theory covered before a single in person practical day.

For on site delivery across the Eastern Province, Jubail, Yanbu, and other industrial areas, tell us your group size and preferred dates and we will confirm a realistic lead time rather than a generic estimate. Group sizes typically work best between six and twenty delegates for the practical sessions, since smaller groups get less value from group exercises and larger groups slow down individual assessment.
Each delegate is assessed through a written knowledge check and, at the qualified person level, a practical demonstration of isolation and PPE selection. Once the course is complete, your company receives an attendance register and a training record for each delegate that you can hold in your own training matrix for audit purposes.

Certificate, Validity, Renewal, and Verification

On successful completion, each delegate receives a certificate accredited under TVTC, valid for two years. Renewal before it lapses is a shorter refresher course rather than repeating the full programme.

Every certificate carries a unique number. To confirm one is genuine, enter that number on our verification page, which shows the holder, the course completed, and whether the certification is still current.

Frequently Asked Questions

The awareness course runs for half a day. The qualified person course, which includes lockout and tagout and arc flash content, runs for one to two days depending on group size and existing experience.

Yes. The course is delivered under TVTC accreditation, which is the recognised standard employers and contractors across the Kingdom check for.

Arabic, English, Hindi, and Urdu, so a mixed nationality site can train together in one session.

Every certificate carries a unique number. Enter it on our verification page to confirm the holder, the course completed, and whether the certification is still current.

No, for the awareness level. The qualified person level assumes some existing electrical or maintenance background, since it builds on that experience rather than starting from zero.
