Learn Forklift Driving: Course Outline
If you want to learn forklift driving the safe way, this is what our forklift operator training course covers. The topics follow SASO’s safety guideline for forklifts and the US forklift standard, OSHA 1910.178.
Both say training must mix theory and hands-on practice, with written and practical tests. SASO’s guideline also says only trained, authorised people may drive a forklift.

Forklift Driving Course Practical Test
The practical part is what makes this a real forklift driving course. You drive a forklift under an instructor’s eye until you are confident.
Then the instructor watches you complete a set task. You must do each step safely to pass the forklift operator training course.
Forklift Training and Certification: What You Receive
Forklift training and certification go together on this course. When you pass both tests, Future Institute for Advanced Professional Training issues a certificate under the SASO Heavy Equipment Regulatory Center (HERC), plus a wallet card. Our HERC accreditation certificate number is TA26061500002.
Each certificate has a number employers can check on our verification page. This helps on sites where a forklift operator training course certificate is checked at the gate.
Forklift Certification vs a Saudi Forklift Driving Licence
A forklift certification proves you were trained and tested in safe operation. In Saudi Arabia, heavy equipment operators are licensed by HERC, which SASO set up in 2021 to license operators and approve training centers.
HERC issues its operator licence through the HERC online portal. A Muroor driving licence from the traffic department is a separate thing, needed only if a machine is driven on public roads.
How Long Do You Stay Forklift Certified?
You stay forklift certified for 1 years with our certificate. After that, a short refresher course renews it.with the basic course, while designated first aiders and safety teams take the longer options.You may need a refresher sooner. Good practice, such as the US OSHA standard, calls for one after an accident or near miss, unsafe driving, or a move to a different type of forklift. Book a refresher forklift operator training course before your certificate ends.
