Authorized Gas Tester Training in Saudi Arabia, Online and On Site
Every confined space entry starts with one reading. Learn to take it properly, record it with confidence,
and stop the job when the numbers tell you to.
Future Institute for Advanced Professional Training has trained hundreds of safety professionals, and 98 percent pass their gas tester assessment at the first attempt. As a TVTC approved training centre we keep classes small, so every trainee handles a monitor in every practical block.
Our classrooms and practical bay are in Al Khobar, but most AGT course groups never travel there. We run sessions at plants, yards, rigs and remote camps across the Kingdom, bringing the monitors, calibration gas and permit forms with us. Your team trains in the conditions it actually works in.
Authorized Gas Tester Training Course Overview
This course trains the person an employer appoints to test the air before confined space entry or hot work. Trainees learn to use a gas monitor correctly, read oxygen, flammable and toxic gas levels, and record results that allow a permit to proceed.
An Authorized Gas Tester, or AGT, is the person on site who confirms the air is safe to breathe and safe to work in. The course combines classroom theory with hands-on practice on real monitors, and ends with a written exam and a practical assessment. Successful trainees receive a two year certificate that employers can check online.
What You Will Be Able to Do After the Course
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Who This Course Is For
Certification and Online Verification
Pass both the written exam and the practical assessment and you receive your certificate, valid for two years. Every certificate has its own unique number printed on it. You, your employer or any site HSE team can check it anytime on our verification page by entering that number.
When your two years are nearly up, a short refresher course renews your certificate, so you don’t have to repeat the full authorized gas tester training.
AGT Certification and Saudi Aramco GI 2.709
On Aramco facilities, gas tests must be done by a certified gas tester under GI 2.709, Gas Testing Using Portable Gas Monitors. Aramco certifies its gas testers through its own Training and Development organization, and expects candidates to understand GI 2.100 and GI 2.709 before they enroll.
Our course builds exactly that knowledge. The course also follows API RP 2016 for tank entry and ANSI ISA 12.13.01 for detector performance.
